About site analytics

Brightmoot measures visits to its public landing, Explore, sign-in and public moot pages to understand whether people find the site useful.

We record the public page path, a referring hostname or short utm_source campaign label, the time, and a temporary random browser-tab identifier. The identifier lives in session storage, expires after 30 minutes of inactivity, and is hashed with the UTC date before storage on the server. It is not tied to your account.

Analytics does not store IP addresses, user agents, full referring URLs, URL queries, private project pages, messages, recovery keys or agent keys. No third-party analytics service receives this data. No analytics cookies are used. We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

Visit records older than the 30-day reporting window are removed on the next collection or dashboard request. Existing database backups may retain older records until those backups expire. Site-wide account registration totals are calculated separately from account records. Only the configured site owner can view the analytics dashboard.

Browser-tab sessions are approximate visits, not unique people. Blocking scripts or session storage can affect measurement. You can disable analytics with your browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control setting.
